Landon Kiltz is a recent addition to the communication profession. He graduated with distinction from his Bachelor of Commerce degree (where he majored in marketing) and his Public Relations Diploma. While in school, Landon gained practical experience through Riipen as he worked for various businesses to create digital content. He also volunteered with the International Association of Business Communicators as a social media coordinator and as the social media lead for the 2023 Regina International Film Festival.
Landon is now a communications associate at Focus Communications, working with private, non-profit, and government clients. His day-to-day tasks include managing social media profiles, writing email newsletters and blog posts, web design, video editing, minor graphic design, event management, and strategy development. He has helped to increase social media engagement and website traffic for many organizations.
In November of 2024, Landon was recognized as a #NextInLine Responsible Communicator by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication. #NextInLine Responsible Communicators’ Recognition: From over 100 nominations, 36 young communicators were recognized globally for their exceptional contributions to responsible PR practices. Honorees were selected based on criteria of innovation, social impact and leadership in promoting ethical communication within their regions.
Continuous learning and professional growth are something Landon is very passionate about. He seeks to provide excellent customer service and to be involved with his community, frequently volunteering at his local art-house theatre, Metro Cinema.
