Focus Communications helped play a key role in planning, organizing, and facilitating the 2024 Stronger Together Library Conference, an event designed to empower Alberta’s library community to connect, learn, and grow.
The conference is a joint effort among six partners: The Alberta Library, Peace Library System, Yellowhead Regional Library, Northern Lights Library System, Library Association of Alberta and the Alberta Library Trustees’ Association.

A New Look
Focus developed a fresh logo and cohesive brand identity, including new colour schemes.

New Website
We then built a brand new website for the event. It was built to be visually appealing and jampacked full of functionality including the ability to process ticket sales directly through the website.
Sponsorship Package
Focus developed a sponsorship package, and coordinated with sponsors for the event.
Social Media Management
Focus managed the conference’s social media channels, creating visually appealing graphics and building awareness for the event.
Conference Preperation
Focus worked with the organizing partners and arranged for two different engaging keynote speakers to present at the conference. We also prepared all onsite signage needed for the event.
Onsite
- Focus coordinated with the team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel West Edmonton to ensure the event went off without a hitch.
- Focus worked as the sponsor liaisons to ensure they were satisfied, and had everything they needed for a successful event.
- Focus worked with our AV partner, Kiwi productions to ensure a seamless experience. This included coordinating with a virtual zoom speaker from Australia.

- Focus helped restructure the conference completely adding more sponsorship opportunities.
- The conference saw from delegates throughout the province in an in person format.
- Attendees rated their overall experience an outstanding 4.25 out of 5.
- 100% of 2024 sponsors were satisfied with the conference with 86% saying they would agree to come back next year.
- The six conference organizing partners were thrilled with Focus's work in 2024, and hired us again for the upcoming 2025 conference.
