World’s Longest Hockey Game Jr’s.

Client: World's Longest Games

From January 25 to 28, 2024, 45 kids aged 10-16 dedicated 72 hours to playing hockey, all in the name of raising funds for childhood cancer clinical trials through the University of Alberta. Focus Communications is proud to have supported this important event, by offering web design, social media, media relations, and communication services.

Initially, Focus Communications revamped the World’s Longest Games website with a fresh look and new content, effectively conveying the event’s purpose, the cause it supported, and the mission of the World’s Longest Hockey Game Jr’s.

Additionally, Focus Communications also assisted by developing and and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy. This strategy included an aggressive social media campaign on all Cure Cancer Foundation social media channels, sending out multiple engaging email newsletters, and media relations efforts.

Overall, the event was a success, raising just over $400,000 for childhood cancer clinical trials. Focus Communications helped to drive massive amounts of traffic to the World’s Longest Games website, generating substantial social media engagement and earning a lot of media coverage for the event.
